Is your organisation ready to implement a new CRM?

CRM projects succeed — or stall — based on factors that usually have little to do with the software itself. Executive sponsorship, clearly defined requirements and organisational alignment matter more than feature lists. This short assessment scores your readiness across five critical dimensions and returns tailored recommendations for wherever you need to shore up before you start.

Your CRM Readiness Report

The five dimensions it measures

Two questions each. Together they cover the things that decide whether a CRM project lands — none of which appear on a feature comparison sheet.

01
CRM strategy
Whether you know what the CRM is for — the business outcomes it has to deliver, not the features it should have.
02
Executive sponsorship
Whether a senior leader owns the outcome, has budget authority, and will hold the organisation to the change.
03
Requirements clarity
Whether your processes are documented well enough that you can state what the system actually has to do.
04
Organisational alignment
Whether the teams who will live in the CRM every day are bought in and ready to change how they work.
05
Data readiness
Whether the customer data you plan to migrate is complete, current and clean enough to be worth moving.

What your score means

Every answer is scored from 1 to 5, and your overall readiness is the average across all ten.

Below 3.0

Not Ready

There are significant gaps to address before CRM selection. Starting now would risk a stalled project rather than a failed product choice.

3.0 – 3.9

Partially Ready

You have a solid foundation in some areas but real gaps in others. Close the weakest dimensions before you commit to a vendor.

4.0 – 5.0

Ready

You are well positioned for a successful CRM implementation. Keep the areas below in view as you move into selection.

Why readiness beats the feature list

  1. 01

CRM projects succeed or stall on factors that have little to do with the software — sponsorship, clarity and alignment outrank any feature list.

  2. 02

The cost of starting unready is not a bad product choice; it is a stalled project, a frustrated team and a system nobody trusts.

  3. 03

Every gap this assessment surfaces is fixable before you talk to a vendor, and far cheaper to fix then than after signing.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the CRM readiness assessment take?
About three minutes. It contains 10 questions organised into 5 categories, and your score updates as you answer rather than waiting for a submit.
Do I need to create an account to use it?
No. The assessment runs entirely in your browser. There is no signup, and no answers are collected, sent anywhere or stored — closing the tab discards them.
What dimensions does the assessment evaluate?
Five: CRM strategy, executive sponsorship, requirements clarity, organisational alignment, and data readiness. Two questions each, scored on a 1–5 agreement scale.
What does my readiness score mean?
Scores below 3.0 mean Not Ready — significant gaps to address before CRM selection. Between 3.0 and 4.0 means Partially Ready: a solid foundation in some areas but gaps in others. 4.0 or higher means Ready, and you are well positioned for a successful implementation.
Why does readiness matter more than choosing the right CRM?
Because most CRM failures are not product failures. A well-chosen system still fails without an engaged sponsor, documented requirements or clean data — and a modest system succeeds when those are in place. Readiness is the part you control before any vendor is involved.
Can I keep a copy of my report?
Yes. Use Print / Save as PDF to keep the full report, or Copy report to put a plain-text version on your clipboard for pasting into a document or email.
